If the property does not show in the Zone Map as eligible but have "Deeded Access" to the property there is a Eligibility Review that we can submit to DHCC for consideration. Audience Question Q: How about doing a business address also please. A: You can find the instructions for how to access and use the DWH mapping system in the Success Guide on Gdrive as well. Audience Question Q: When looking at causation for a customer/client, do you at ClaimsCompl look at the duality of the economic & real property loss automatically when a claim is submitted? A: ClaimsComp will always examine all possible claim possibilities for each claimant's file that we receive (i.e. individual claims, business claims, or property claims). Audience Question Q: So when we submit the claim form, are we able to check mark more than one claim type? or do we add comment for the second or even third options for claim type A: If you know that a claimant has the potential for different claims (i.e. multiple businesses, or a BEL with a Coastal Claim), submit a landing page submission for each. Audience Question Q: If a person does not keep the pay-stubs what can they to to file a claim? A: An individual can provide payroll reports from their employer that shows the amount of wages earned by pay period. If pay period detail is not available, we can still evaluate a claim based upon W-2s and Tax Returns only... however, the pay period data can maximize the size of their claim! Audience Question Q: when you send info, do you suggest the 2 page flier or the 22 page book? A: You can use either. We recommend you use your 2 page color flyer if you're sending a business intro e-mail. if they want more information, you may send them the PDF o Audience Question Q: So how did the non profit receive if they had a increase? A: The settlement causation and calculations are based upon what happened financially per month between May and December 2010. Annual totals are really no indication if someone should be qualified or not. Therefore, a business may have had a better cumulative year in 2010 in terms of profit and revenue... but on a monthly basis, they experienced losses. Audience Question Q: Do I not understand that the exemption to last qualifying explanation are the A zones? A: Businesses in Zone A are presumed to have causation. They automatically qualify for a claim. The next step is to find out how much they qualify for. (Keep in mind, even though they are qualified, if the business did not have a financial loss on a monthly basis, the claim amount could be zero.) Audience Question Q: RV parks are tourism ? RR A: RV parks are considered tourism. You can find the detailed tourism definition under the Google Drive. Audience Question Q: Is that the same for a business on figuring like you did for the nonprofit? A: A nonprofit is a form of a business economic loss claim. Audience Question Q: If april 22 is the cut-off date... what would be the latest we can submit a claim to CC? A: April 22, 2014 is the last day to submit new claim forms to Deepwater Horizon.
